Guiding Values

  • PLACE. Our lives and work are rooted in place…and have an impact in place. We strive to effect tangible changes in people, programs and policies that support healthy and resilient communities

  • EQUITY. Our world is shaped by relationships—many of which are defined by power and historical trauma. We champion efforts with racial justice at their core to increase access to leadership, decisionmaking and investment for marginalized people and communities.

  • DEPTH. Our experiences are often shaped by the fast pace of our lives. We are committed to transformative and reflective practice which prioritizes space for learning and innovation and achieves results while honoring relationships.

  • COLLABORATION. Our challenges have grown so complex that it’s important to rely on our connectedness to solve them. We inspire collective leadership for social change by working across organizations and sectors.

  • HEALTH. Our shared fate is tied to health—our own and that of our communities, institutions, and places. We honor and promote individual, community and planetary well-being as a measure of success in developing healthy, thriving systems.

“It is no measure of good health to be well-adjusted to a profoundly sick society.”

— J. Krishnamurti, philosopher-writer
